Luna adopted after 5 months in shelter

Luna goes home!

Sitting on her fave toy.....

and being petted by her new best friend.

This beautiful black and white female was brought to our shelter when her owner had to go into a nursing home. It took 5 long months but she has found a new home.

Our thanks to the lady who read her story in "Paws and Claws" in the East Bay Newspapers and adopted her. A big pat on the back goes to the folks who have featured Luna, and also Stanley and Stella, the bloodhounds.

It is refreshing to see someone come into the shelter and adopt a cat that is between 7 - 10 years old. Especially during kitten season. Luna spent many months with us at the shelter. So many of our older cats get overlooked because of the cute little kittens. Let me tell you, Luna could play just as hard as the kittens. She has a lot of spunk.

Thank you, thank you to her new owner!!
