Alice Filmed as Success Story for Science Diet

Yesterday, the RISPCA hosted a film crew who were here to get the story about Alice - the 26 pound cat who was able to lose half her body weight by eating Science Diet, made by Hill's Pet Foods.

Bonnie Sunshine - Adoption Update - 3 weeks

"Hello - Just wanted to give you an update on Miss Bonnie- She has officially joined the family - she no longer hides upstairs, she is downstairs most of the day - sitting atop the couch, following the sun
from window to window. She is not hissing anymore - she isn't sure
about my grandaughter ( she is 2 1/2) but she doesn't go under the bed when she is here. Bonnie is getting playful - chasing lint and shadows. She loves to be pet and brushed - if I get tired brushing and just lay the brush on the floor she brushes herself HUM!! She does love the brush."

Bonnie was with us for five months before she was adopted - read about her progress.

Pony Hits the Road After 189 Days in Shelter

Handsome Pony has been at our shelter since August 2008, and is loved by staff and volunteers alike. He was working on his Canine Good Citizen certification as well.
This long haul trucker needed a buddy to keep him company on his trips and Pony is the perfect guy for the job. Like alot of dogs, he LOVES to ride in the car and now he gets to have the traveling life.

Staff favorite Pony jumped right into the truck and was ready to roll.

Who gets to drive this rig?

Pony's new owners look back into the cab as he makes himself comfy for the trip. He might have been looking for a snack, because onlookers say he went right to the fridge. These big trucks have all the comforts of home, so he was able to have the bed to himself too!

Ball Python at Shelter

This little snake has had a tough way to go on the road to the RISPCA, but seems to be much better.
Unagi was brought to us by animal control officers when it was found in a burned out building. The snake was cold and had not eaten for weeks.
But our reptile friend is now under a warm lamp and has food again.
Unagi the Ball Python is being cared for and fascinates our visitors, as snakes always do.
