Stanley Adoption Update

Mt. Pierce in the Southern Presidentials. MT

Hello good folks!
We just wanted to give you a quick update on how Stanley has been doing with
us since last week. Frankly, it couldn't be better (mostly)! We were in RI
for a few days before departing for the White Mountains. Stanley has settled
right in and lounges around the living room with our two yellow labs as
though he was born to it. They're all finding their place in the pack, and
we have every confidence that he'll be very happy here.
As you know, he's a big strong guy and we've been putting him through his
paces. For instance, in the attached photo, you'll see Stanley on the summit
of Mt. Pierce in the Southern Presidentials. MT. Washington is in the
distance behind him (you can see the weather station on the top). That was
yesterday - a 7 mile round trip. He was a little tired after that one (so
were we). Although he was on leash at the summit (fragile alpine zone), he
was able to be off leash for almost all of the trip. He stays with the pack
(especially with the other dogs) and is learning his basic commands quite
nicely.
Anyway, hope all is well. We'll see you when we get back.
Dan, Theresa, Grace, John, and Brendan
