Honey the Chihuahua - Update from Dr. Finocchio

There has been much interest expressed in regard to Honey, the 4 LB Chihuahua who was thrown out of a 3rd floor apartment in Pawtucket. Fortunately, Honey survived.

After lengthy discussions with her owner, it was agreed that it would be in the best interest of Honey's welfare and safety that she be relinquished to the RISPCA.

The Marvin Fund,, reimbursed the owner for the purchase price of Honey. On August 8th, the RISPCA became the permanent caretaker of Honey. The legal case is still ongoing and therefore we can not make any definate decisions as to the future of Honey. We would appreciate it if you would follow the progress of the case on our website and avoid phone calls. Honey is doing very well and in safe keeping.

E.J. Finocchio, D.V.M.

President RISPCA
